  • Palm Springs Venue Guide
Many of the bars in the desert are located on Palm Springs own mini-Castro Street, Arenas Road. Right downtown, a block east of Palm Canyon Drive and the Hyatt Suites Hotel, you'll find Badlands, Hunters Video Bar, Rainbow Cactus Cafe, TomBoyz (restaurant serving beer & wine) and the original Arenas bar, Streetbar (temporarily relocated inside Hunters). A little to the north is Toucan's Tiki Lounge and to the south is Tool Shed. Minutes away in Cathedral City are two poolside bars at the Desert Palms and the Villa. You'll also find Ground Zero, Sidewinders and The Barracks (former Wolf's Den). New bar opening on Monday, March 24 in Cathedral City is Twisters, at the former Sisters location. Also former Palm Springs Coffee Dot Com bar/grille will become Spikes, with more of a bar atmosphere. All bars in California serve liquor until 2 am and do not allow smoking except on open patios.
